Friday Program

Friday 16th Oct - 4pm to 10pm.

Traditionally an exciting time for families to gather and enjoy an evening out with the availability of a wide variety of food stalls providing a choice of cuisine's from around the world. The sounds and sights of the fun rides and stalls always attracts a large number of thrill seekers.  Competitive displays in the Exhibition Hall and Flower Pavilion open at 5pm and provides show-goers to view winners of prizes in each section.  The ever popular side show alley of course will be there also.

There are NO ANIMAL EXHIBITS on Friday night

Sideshow, Trade and General Stalls (4pm to 10pm)

07_Grounds_Stalls_03.JPGCome and enjoy the ever popular sideshow rides and games on the main oval.  All of the usual favourites will be there for both the big and small kids.  This year there will be additional rides for the young kids outside of sideshow alley.

There will be a variety of food, variety and trade stalls this year.  The following stall holding lists outline all the stalls:

The Co-ordinating School for 2009 is Kingsley Primary.  The following schools will be have displays:

CLASSIC SOUNDS BEST OF!

Don’t miss out on the Live Music Action down at the main stage on Friday Night. Classic Sounds, your local music shop, is presenting a kaleidoscope of musical talent, showcasing students of Classic Sounds Music School and Classic Sounds Teachers themselves!

Featuring vocalist Brooke Sellers, trio ‘Ticket 4 2’ and rock band ‘Never 2L8’, there is a musical taste to suit everyone. And if you’re just waiting to be inspired to pick up an instrument, make sure you hang around for the last act – when our very own teaching staff let loose to show you what they’re made of! (& what you can be made of too!)

Classic Sounds supports over 400 students in all instruments and also conducts outreach programs such as the Classic Sounds Orchestra, Classic Sounds Choir and most recently ‘The Rock School Project’ complete with a rehearsal studio on the premises. So come along and check it out – and be inspired to make music a part of YOUR life.

08_Grounds_Displays_FESA003_resize.jpgCome along to the FESA Marquee located on the Main Oval near the food court for a range of interesting and informative static displays and community safety messages from the Fire and Emergency Services Authority.

The City of Armadale will be offering information about burning alternatives, prohibited burning periods, firebreaks and other items important to residents of this area.

07_Ent_Logchop_01.JPGLog Chop Demonstration.  The log chop will once again occur over two days at this year's Kelmscott Annual Show.  Come and enjoy the spectacle of the log chop with your family and friends.

07_Ent_FireDisplay_03.JPGArmadale and Roleystone Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service will demonstrate their skills at a simulated LPG Gas Plant fire.  See Fire-fighters work together as a team to "bend the gas flame" using fire hoses while turning off the main gas valve.

07_Ent_FireWorks_05.JPGOur annual firework show is on again this year and is bigger and better than ever! On both Friday AND Saturday night, this is a treat for old and young alike.  Bring your family and friends, grab a picnic blanket and sit under the stars as you watch the sky light up with the amazing fireworks show thanks to the generous sponsorship by Mazzega’s Mitre 10 Home and Trade.  The fireworks display will kick off at approx. 8:30pm on both Friday & Saturday nights.
